AI readiness assessment, explained
Public indexes answer a different question. They survey leaders at large companies. A figure from that group cannot tell a clinic whether the front desk and the clinician share one record.
AWS describes a readiness assessment as a structured look at data, technology, processes, and people. Our version stays with four groups an owner can point at. The Readiness Check is one way to start. It gives you next steps for your business.
How is an assessment different from a public index?
An index compares a sample of firms. An assessment looks at one business. Mixing them is how a pitch turns a large-firm study into a reason for a small firm to buy today.
What should the result change?
It should show the weak group, in words. It should not become a medal. If the facts are missing, the next step is the record, not a new logo on a tool.
Questions
What is an AI readiness assessment in simple terms?
It is a structured look at whether this business can put a tool to work. The groups are data, process, people, and the decision.
Is a big-company index an assessment of my firm?
No. An index describes the firms in its sample. An assessment describes the business in the room. They are easy to mix up, and they are not the same claim.
What does the Readiness Check give you?
It gives you next steps for your business. It looks at the firm taking it. It does not borrow a rank from a public index.
